One person, no investors.
Sigil is built and run by Vineet Karhail, who is the founder and the whole team.

Why it exists
Most vault apps are a PIN screen over ordinary files. Sigil is built so that a copy of the files is not enough: the key needs your pattern and your iPhone's Secure Enclave. The details, including what it cannot do, are on the security page.
No investors
Sigil has no investors and no board. Nobody is asking for growth numbers, so there is no pressure to collect data about you.
No trackers
The app has no analytics SDK, no crash SDK and no ads. This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics. The privacy page has the specifics.
The business model is the price
You pay for Sigil through the App Store. That is the only way it earns money. It does not sell data, show ads or take a cut of anything else, because it has none of that to sell.
