No email. Not even for the waitlist.

Sigil is an encrypted vault for iPhone. Pre-order on the App Store and Apple keeps the list, not us.

How it works
An iPhone showing the Sigil pattern lock screen with a 5 by 5 grid of dots
  • AES-256-GCM
  • Secure Enclave
  • Argon2id
  • 0 network calls

Your Hidden album opens with the same Face ID as everything else.

Anyone who knows your passcode can open it, and most vault apps are just a PIN screen over ordinary files.

Draw a shape. Only your iPhone opens it.

An iPhone with a pattern drawn across the Sigil 5 by 5 grid, unlocking a vault
  1. Draw

Set a pattern on a 5 by 5 grid. Sigil turns it into an encryption key.

  2. Add

Import photos, videos and files, or shoot with the in-app camera. Nothing touches your camera roll.

  3. Lock

Leave the app and it blurs and locks. Each pattern opens its own separate vault.

Built so that even a copy of your vault is useless.

Keys that never leave your iPhone

Your vault key is tied to the Secure Enclave. A copy of the vault can't be cracked on another machine.

Vaults nobody can count

Draw a different pattern, open a different vault. Nothing on the phone shows how many exist.

Abstract dark panel with a single unlit signal line, standing for no tracking
Zero trackingNo account, no analytics, no ads. No network calls unless you turn on backup.

Albums

Sort files inside each vault, then move, export or delete in bulk.

More than a PIN screen over normal files.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Sigil has no accounts and never asks for an email. You draw a pattern and that is all.

What if I forget my pattern?

Use the 12-word recovery phrase shown when you set up. Without the pattern or the phrase, your files cannot be recovered. Nobody can reset it for you.

Can you see my files?

No. Sigil has no servers and no accounts. Your files are encrypted on the phone and the keys are tied to that phone.

What does Apple see?

Nothing about your vault, unless you turn on encrypted iCloud backup (a later release). Then Apple sees only encrypted data, record counts and sizes. It never sees your pattern, your phrase or your keys.

When does Sigil launch?

Sigil is in development for iPhone. Pre-order opens on the App Store before launch.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Sigil is for iPhone only for now.

Keep it yours.
